Coach's Accomplishments

Training Style

Coaching an individual to chase their goals in this sport, whether it be running fast or just living a healthy lifestyle, involves getting to know them first. There are physiological and mental principles in endurance training that will never change, but not everyone responds in the same way. Understanding my athletes helps me create a program that is right for them.

My goal is to understand the WHY behind the goals you want to pursue, the current stressors and parameters you are working under in your life, and then seeking to create a reasonable path to achieving your goals based on these things. It is important that coach and athlete can agree upon reasonable goals and the route to get there.

I have coached athletes with unlimited time in their schedule to athletes with full-time jobs, a commute, and a family. I believe applying the tried and true physiological principles of distance running can fit into almost any scenario, if the individual shows discipline in what they are pursuing and a passion for doing it. As a coach, I get excited about seeing individuals set a goal, pursue it well, and succeed with joy in what they are doing.
